1.Who we are
Lastivka ("we", "us") is a baby-naming app for couples, operated by its developer, Vladislav Nedodaiev. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Lastivka mobile app and this website.
2.What we collect
- Account data. An account identifier and sign-in credential (managed by Firebase Authentication), your display name if you set one, and your app settings such as theme choice.
- Pair data. The link between your account and your partner's, invite codes you generate (which expire after 30 days), and the shared state of your pair.
- Swipes, matches, and shortlist. Which names you liked, passed, or super-liked; your mutual matches; shortlist rankings and the notes you write on them.
- Pregnancy-related data (optional). If you choose to add a due date or expecting status, we store it to personalize the experience. See section 4 — this data gets special treatment.
- Purchase data. Whether your pair has premium and which platform granted it. Payment itself is processed entirely by Apple or Google — we never see your card details.
- Usage analytics. Anonymous event counts (e.g. "a swipe happened", "a match was created") via Firebase Analytics, plus basic device information such as OS version and app version.
3.What your partner can see
Your individual swipes are private. Your partner only ever sees the names you both liked (your matches), the shortlist you share, and — with premium — the names you super-liked. They never see what you passed on, and never see your swipe activity in real time.
4.Pregnancy data and Quiet Mode
A due date or expecting status can reveal information about health, which is treated as special-category data under the GDPR. We only store it with your explicit consent, given when you enter it, and we use it for nothing beyond personalizing your experience. You can remove it at any time.
If your circumstances change, the app's "I'm no longer expecting" action immediately suppresses notifications and celebratory content, hides due-date features, and offers complete deletion of your data.
5.Legal bases
- Performance of a contract — account, pair, swipe, match, and purchase data exist so the app can do what you signed up for.
- Explicit consent — pregnancy-related data (section 4). You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting it.
- Legitimate interest — anonymous usage analytics to keep the app working well, designed to be as minimal as possible.
6.Who processes your data
Your data is stored with Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Analytics) in the europe-west1 region (Belgium). Google acts as our processor under the Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum. Purchases are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own terms. We do not sell your data, and we share it with no one else.
7.Retention and deletion
- Your data is kept while your account is active.
- Invite codes expire automatically after 30 days.
- You can delete your account in the app at any time. Deletion removes your profile, your swipes, and dissolves your pair; your identifiers are stripped from shared match records. Your partner keeps their own data.
- Quiet Mode (section 4) additionally offers full data deletion in one step.
8.Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Most of these you can exercise directly in the app; for anything else, contact us (section 12). You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
9.Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted by per-user Firestore security rules, and shared records are validated server-side by Cloud Functions. No system is perfectly secure, but the architecture is built so that even we handle as little of your data as possible.
10.Children
Lastivka is made for expecting parents and is not directed at children. You must be at least 16 to use it. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11.Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll note it in the app and update the effective date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
